One of the most fun and hands on science museums I have been to! A great event for both kids and adults with exciting interactive exhibits and it’s located right in the heart of Dallas! Think dinosaurs, earthquakes, virtual reality, and engineering!

George W. Bush Presidential Library

Details
No matter what your political opinions are, this is a pretty cool museum. Located on the SMU campus, this museum gives you the inside scoop on the Bush presidency and the inside White House life. Of course, it definitely is a bit different from our current White House life, but still worth the experience! The interactive exhibits make it great for both kids and adults!

Price
$19 adults, $17 teens, $13 kids, $16 students, FREE for SMU students

Fort Worth Modern Art Museum

I am in love with this museum, but honestly it’s mostly for the beautiful architecture of the building itself. Home to some incredible works of modern art and a delightful cafe if you want to be productive and creative. It mostly contains glass and concrete minimalist works!

JFK Sixth Floor Museum

Details
An amazing historical museum for even those that are not big history lovers (aka me). The Sixth Floor Museum walks you through the JFK assassination right where it actually happened. Filled with media clippings, actual artifacts, interviews, stories, and so much more. One of the coolest museums I have ever been to, hands down.

If you want something free, this is your best bet! I absolutely love the DMA because it is home to some stunning works of art (both modern and not) and even beautiful sculptures and murals to top it off. Walk around and maybe even pay for one of their unique exhibts. My FAVORITE piece of art is the Four Triangles. You’ll know it when you see it.

National Cowgirl Museum

A favorite for little kids and those of you not from Texas! One of the only museums of it’s kind (obviously), it showcases the life of the wild west for Women and Cowgirls. A great stop if you’re already checking out the Stockyards and Rodeo in Fort Worth!
